Energy improvements to buildings in the commercial and institutional sectors are an excellent way to improve profitability and sustainability at the same time.
Understanding what is possible along with the costs and payback can often be a difficult task for a building owner. An energy audit is a formalized process designed to provide an outline of current costs, opportunities and payback in a clear and concise report.
There are various financial assistance programs available to qualified applicants. For example the ecoEnergy Retrofit program can provide up to $10 per gigajoule of estimated energy savings, 25 percent of eligible project costs or $50,000 per project. Most programs require a pre-project energy audit as part of the process for applying. An audit by our Energy Solutions division facilitates this requirement.
The audit includes the following:
